Carrie Underwood brings latest country-pop hits to NH

Carrie Underwood, with opening act Josh Turner, will bring her Carnival Ride Tour to the Verizon Wireless Arena for a 7:30 p.m. concert Wednesday, March 19, in Manchester.
Underwood, who won the fourth season of TV’s popular singing competition “American Idol,” soared to the top of the charts with her debut album, “Some Hearts,” which recently was certified seven-times platinum.
Released in 2005, that album included a handful of top tunes, including “Inside Your Heaven,” “Jesus, Take the Wheel,” “Don’t Forget to Remember Me,” “Wasted,” and her biggest hit to date, “Before He Cheats,” for which she recently earned her latest Grammy Award.
Her follow-up CD, 2007’s “Carnival Ride,” features the singles “So Small” and “All-American Girl” and already has been certified double platinum. Underwood helped TV’s “Saturday Night Live” show celebrate an end to the Hollywood writer’s strike by hosting the popular weekly sketch comedy show last month.
